Job Description:The Product Development Executive plays a crucial role in the development and launch of products in the automotive or manufacturing industry. This position involves coordinating and overseeing the planning, development, and compliance of products to meet regulatory and industry standards. The Product Development Executive works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful introduction of products into the market while adhering to legal requirements.**Responsibilities**:- Collaborate with the product planning team to gather and analyse market research, customer's feedback, and industry trends to identify product opportunities and assess feasibility.- Conduct thorough research on regulatory requirements, homologation standards, and certifications applicable to the products in the target markets.- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product planning strategy that aligns with the company's goals, market demands, and regulatory compliance.- Coordinate and manage the product homologation process, including working with external certification bodies, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.- Stay up-to-date with regulations, standards, and compliance requirements related to the industry and the markets in which the products will be launched.- Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure that products meet technical specifications, quality standards, and performance requirements.- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation, reports, and certifications required for product homologation and compliance.- Assist in the development and execution of product launch plans, including coordinating with various teams to ensure smooth introduction of products into the market.- Monitor and evaluate the performance and success of products in the market, gathering feedback and insights to identify areas for improvement.- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.- Provide support and guidance to internal teams and external partners regarding product planning, homologation, and compliance-related matters.- Stay informed about industry trends and automotive statistics, technological advancements, and best practices related to product planning and homologation.Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a relevant field, or Business Administration- Previous experience in product planning, homologation or Vehicle Type Approval (VTA), or related roles in the automotive or manufacturing industry is preferred.- Strong knowledge of product development processes, homologation standards, and regulatory requirements.- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to make informed decisions and recommendations.- Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and compliance.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for product planning, documentation, and project management.To Be Considered, You'll Need:- Proactive with initiative and the ability to throw proposals and have a creative problem-solving mindset- Ability to multi-task and juggle assignments with excellent time management- Excellent communication skills at all levels- Technology expertise is an added advantage- Good with details, processes and systems- Comfortable with intense operational work- A mindset that self-learns and takes the lead to deliver on the mandate Language:- Bahasa (required)- English (required)License/Certification:- Driving licence (required) Summary of role requirements:- 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role- Working rights required for this role**Job Types**: Full-time, PermanentPay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per monthSchedule:- Day shiftExpected Start Date: 05/01/2024
