**Job details**:Posted 19 February 2024SalaryNegotiableLocationMalaysiaJob type PermanentDisciplineEngineeringReference268325_1708337666This global semiconductor company in Melaka is seeking a Production Manager.**Key Responsibilities**:- Production Planning and Scheduling:- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing lead times.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of production schedules with overall business objectives.- Quality Management:- Enforce and uphold IATF 16949 automotive quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.- Implement and maintain robust quality control measures to ensure the production of defect-free semiconductor components.- Team Leadership:- Lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.- Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the production team.- Process Optimization:- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains, implementing best practices to enhance overall manufacturing performance.- Work closely with engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes for quality and cost-effectiveness.- Supply Chain Coordination:- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components required for production.- Implement inventory management strategies to minimize shortages and excess inventory.- Health and Safety Compliance:- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the production environment.- Implement and monitor safety protocols to create a secure and accident-free workplace.**Skills & Experience Required**:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.- Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a strong understanding of IATF 16949 automotive standards.- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control procedures.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.JTK Number**:JTKSM 995** | Company Registration Number**:201301019088 (1048918-T)
