**Job details**:Posted 25 January 2024SalaryNegotiableLocationMalaysiaJob type PermanentDisciplineEngineeringReference270694_1706185938This global semiconductor company in Penang is seeking a Production Manager.Key Responsibilities:- Develops and executes plans aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, resource planning, and goal setting.- Sets departmental objectives, guiding the production team to accomplish goals, and fosters an environment for new ideas and personal growth.- Provides coaching, mentoring, and team building, enhancing management skills.- Collaborates cross-functionally for product and process optimization.- Enhances product quality, ensures on-time delivery, and improves production efficiency.- Implements structures promoting work team ownership of continuous improvement.- Drives Kaizen/QCC events and ensures alignment with organizational requirements for quality, safety, and environmental policies.- Performs additional duties as assigned.Skills & Experience Required:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.- Strong collaboration, leadership, and communication skills in English.- Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles, motivation, and team building.- 8+ years of experience in Electrical/Electronics Manufacturing and Operations Management.- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, PC hardware, and systems.- Previous supervisory roles in high mix/mixed volume manufacturing and Operations/Manufacturing/Repair.- Desirable: Success in managing cross-functional teams, SMT-related assembly (Reflow, Soldering, Wire bonding, Washing/potting processes), familiarity with SAP ERP, self-directed work team experience, 6 Sigma knowledge, and a Master's degree.- This client is currently not considering expatriates.JTK Number**:JTKSM 995** | Company Registration Number**:201301019088 (1048918-T)
