**General Information**:- Date Published- 12-Mar-2024- Advertising Ends- 26-Mar-2024- Country- Malaysia- Location- Malaysia- Role Type- Manufacturing- Work Type- Permanent- ID#- 7822**Position Description**:**Role Purpose**:- Follows production and process specifications or instructions and monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, computer systems, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, performs tests to verify production/process conditions, reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment, and maintains operating records and reports of test results.**Key Accountabilities**:- Tend manual, automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.- Follow production/process specifications or instructions of higher level technical personnel and monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.- Sets up machine requiring high level of precision and the interaction of multiple variables.- Loads raw material into machine, determines and controls the machine cycle varying and modifying as necessary, and unloads finished product.- Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled.- Perform tests and checks product routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring devices and making some judgments against not readily measurable standards.- Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.- Maintains production records and logs of equipment and product performance.- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.- Jobs may be of short, medium or long duration requiring frequent change in set up and variation in cycle.- Adjusts set up and process operations accordingly.- Practice all food safety, health and safety procedures, policies and practices.- Attend all required safety and technical training.- and HACCAP procedures, that relate to the role and responsibilities of a Production Technican.**Skills & Experience**:- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the food / manufacturing industry.- Good verbal communications skills, active listening and able to write records and simple reports.- Capable of using problem-solving tools to address breakdowns and improve equipment performance.- Able to analyse issues and solve issues based on SOPs and/or come out solutions according to process**Our Story**Fonterra is a global nutrition company owned by 9000 farming families in New Zealand.
