About the job
For the Digital team, we are looking for a proactive enthusiast who can help us in establishing E-Commerce in the Philippines and securing the IKEA brand and our overall vision of “creating a better everyday life for the many people”. As Web Merchandiser, we expect you to work closely with global and local stakeholders to commercially and strategically merchandise IKEA range with local-relevance direction on the website and ultimately create a seamless online customer journey and monitor sales performance.
Your assignment
- Secure the rollout of the IKEA website and the mobile application in a timely manner.
- Work with Project Web Editors to plan the global content with local-relevant adaptation.
- Set up the website reporting and analytics tools to monitor sales and website performance.
- Use these tools to understand and improve the online customer journey. Ensure that visitors can search, find, choose and buy smoothly.
- Proactively merchandise and actively trade on the website, review sales performance and share the feedback to the stakeholders to improve the online shopping experience.
- Emphasize on the strategic products, pricing level and volume products so that they are promoted across the website.
- Secure that the product range is showable and buyable on the IKEA website within the defined lead-time and cost frames.
- Work with Marketing, Sales, Store teams to ensure that the commercial calendar, promotional activities and local content are properly supported on the website.
- Seek and identify business opportunities that will grow sales and improve gross profit by analysing market trends and benchmarking with other retailers.
- The position will be based in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya. Malaysia.

- You have knowledge using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, ContentSquare & Power BI.
- You demonstrate financial awareness, e.g. Forecast and Profit&Loss.
- You are good in prioritisation, planning and organising skills.
