Purchasing Assistant

**Purpose of Role**Work in a team to ensure cost effective purchase of all materials and services as required by the procurement plan whilst ensuring quality control and compliance with the Company's policies and procedures.**Key Activities**- Assist Senior Executive for sourcing, developing, validating and communicating for local and overseas procurement- Monitor, plan and purchase the products required to ensure sufficient stock for production requirement- To ensure, compile, negotiate and evaluate the prices, specifications and terms of the products to identify the optimal decision for purchase- To review and update existing and new product costs and quality to recommend opportunities for cost optimization- Responsible for entire material purchasing cycle, follow up on deliveries and ensure prompt delivery of goods- To manage day-to day purchasing activities for packaging material- To prepare Purchase Order by comparing specifications and pricing, obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items- Assist source for new raw material, packaging material and others- Weekly stock order compilation and monthly balance stock report- Ensure time delivery of materials for smooth running of production operation- Exposure and hands-on experience with overseas market eg China**Qualification**- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Commerce, Economics or related discipline;- Minimum 1-2 year(s) of experience in Purchasing, Inventory, Warehouse or Logistics field is also required.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- Good working attitude and learning ability- Good command of written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin- Negotiation and sourcing vendors experience- Ability to work as part of a team, reliable and flexible**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time**Salary**: RM1,868.90 - RM2,800.00 per month**Benefits**:- Health insurance- Maternity leaveSchedule:- Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:- Overtime payAbility to commute/relocate:- Shah Alam: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
