Position: Quantity SurveyorCompany: Asia Communication & Electronic Sdn BhdIndustry: Railway IndustryType: Contract staff (Yearly renewal)Location: Segamat, Johor.Working days: Mondays to Saturdays**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 (Negotiable - commensurate according to experience & current/previous earns)**Requirements**:- 2 to 5 years relevant working experience in quantity surveying (Railway & Road experience)- Excellent in both verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia- Able to work independently, efficiency and strong sense of urgency- Strong numeracy and financial management skills- Good IT Literacy on Microsoft office package.- Willing to travel- Possess license & own transportation.**Job Description**:- Perform and/or support all QS activities such as tendering and contract administration.- Prepare BOQ and tender document/ proposal, pre & post contract administration.- To prepare variation orders, loss & expense, extension of time, final measurement and final accounts with contractors.- To keep track of all changes to the projects and report to the Management.- Liaising with various stakeholders of the project (Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.)Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers- To ensure all parties are compliance to contractual obligations. Keeping all relevant records in traceable manner and able to substantiate all claims with proper records.- Preparing and submitting weekly, monthly and review reports where necessary- Advise on any outstanding contractual claims remaining.- Assessment of contractor's claim.- Dealing with contractual and legal matters.- Preparation of final account and final details Bill of Quantities (BQ)- Acting as financial advisors and monitoring progress for the client.- Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.- Handle, manage and finalising Project RFQ, commercial evaluation, recommendation and issuance of Purchase Order (PO) / Letter of Awards (LOA).- To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the top management.**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Health insurance- Opportunities for promotion- Professional developmentSupplemental pay types:- Yearly bonusAbility to commute/relocate:- Kulai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)Application Question(s):- Are you currently working?
