**Job Summary**:The Research & Development Food Technologist ("R&D Food Technologist") will plan and execute research and development projects in product development, manufacturing processes, food ingredients and recipes of food and drink products. The aim will be to provide technical knowledge on food safety and quality system at operation. Successful applicant will be based at project site located in Cambodia.**Responsibilities**:- To develop and improve food products (plant based) through experimentation, perform tests on food ingredients and product prototypes, and ensure that correct methodologies are used to generate information for the required food quality and consistency standards.- To support the production function by providing food science expertise in designing processes to manufacture new food products with the required specifications on a commercial scale.- To provide technical and regulatory advice on raw materials, product contents and packaging materials which are required to be met.- To carry out pilot plant operation and maintenance.- To support the business development function in profiling products for marketing purposes, product refinement and meeting standards and regulatory requirements for sales and export.- To be responsible for implementing stringent food safety standards in processing and operation and ensure adherence to regulatory hygiene standards, from raw materials to end products.- To perform internal and external (customer) audits in order to ensure compliance with the relevant regulations.- To be responsible for setting up and conducting testing and examining samples of raw materials and end products.- To document research results, formulae, processes including reports on trial runs and other R&D activities and carry out statistical analysis for sensory evaluation.- To conduct sensory evaluations of new products to ensure meeting customer needs and requirements.- To undertake ad-hoc tasks and related duties as and when required.**Requirements**:- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science/ Technology, Food Process or related courses.- Minimum 5 years of working experience in food manufacturing environment.- Experience in Agricultural Science & Technology and agricultural products processes will be an added advantage.- Relevant laboratory experience in the R&D department of food manufacturing company with knowledge on ISO, HACCP, HALAL and such other food safety certifications and regulations.- Good command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in other languages will be an added advantage.- Able to work independently as well as a team member.- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including attention to details.- Computer literate.
