**What the role is all about:**
By ensuring that all operational aspects of People & Culture are managed seamlessly, the People Services team plays a critical role in the employee experience at REA Group Asia. As the leader of this team, the HR Operations Manager has a real opportunity to make a difference right across the employee lifecycle; from streamlining our systems and continuously improving our processes, to making sure that our people are paid correctly, this role is the core machine in the People & Culture team.

Specifically:

Payroll

+ Oversee the delivery of our payroll function ensuring that each pay run is accurate, on time and adheres to our compliance framework

+ Oversee a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating the recording payroll deductions, and ensuring compliance with statutory and obligations and company policy

+ Oversee, review, update and maintain proper filing of yearly tax form for all countries

+ Ensure the payroll system and associated processes are optimised, with a focus on process improvement and compliance, and that any issues are resolved in a timely manner

Systems and processes

+ Work with the Global People Systems team to ensure that where possible, all transaction support processes are systemised and streamlined to deliver a good user experience for our people and people leaders

+ Seek feedback from the business and People & Culture team and continually look for ways to make processes more efficient and effective

+ Utilising systems capability, coaching and communication channels, increase employee and people leader capability to self-serve and ‘first-time’ completion rates

On-boarding and off-boarding

+ Work with the Talent Acquisition and Global People Systems teams to ensure that the on-boarding process is seamless and a positive experience for new employees

+ Oversee onboarding processes to ensure that all contracts and new joiner documentation is accurately generated and along with pre-employment checks, communicated and completed in a timely manner

+ Oversee and improve offboarding processes, making sure that managers and individuals complete the necessary steps in a timely manner and that payroll overpayments do not occur

+ Own and improve the Exit Survey to increase completion rates and to make sure insights are valuable and where appropriate, communicated to P&C colleagues
Immigration and mobility

+ Working with our outsourced partners, ensure effective controls are in place to give assurance that all REA employees have a legal right to work in all of our markets across Asia

+ Oversee case management of all visa queries, ensuring that appropriate working visas are obtained and retained for all employees

+ Oversee all mobility cases to ensure that risks and requirements associated with working rights and tax are understood and managed effectively

People Services support and compliance

+ Oversee the provision of people support services, ensuring that the team prioritise caseloads are closed out queries within agreed timeframes

+ Continue to seek out opportunities to increase automation or employee / people leader self-service, reducing the amount of time the team spend on queries

+ Oversee processes to ensure that all case collateral e.g. letters, variations to contracts, parental leave plans, etc are produced accurately and in a timely manner

+ Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement regional HR policies and procedures.

+ Ensure the company remains compliant with all relevant people legislation via appropriate policy, procedure, training and culture.
Benefits and wellness

+ Working in collaboration with key stakeholders within the P&C team and the business, continue to review and enhance REA’s benefits offering, ensuring that our offering is aligned with our peoples’ needs and is competitive in the market

+ Manage relationships with key benefits and wellness providers to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose and that employees get the maximum value from our investment

+ Own the relationship with insurance benefit providers to seek the most beneficial and cost efficient insurance plans for the staff and over see the maintenance of insurance record keeping

+ Working with Internal Communications and the Talent Acquisition team, make sure that REA’s benefits and wellness offerings are communicated to and understood by employees, with an aim of increasing participation

Occupational Health & Safety

+ Working with the Facilities team, be REA’s OHS subject matter expert, ensuring that our OHS framework is in place, compliant and effective in keeping OHS incidents to a minimum

+ Ensure that all OHS incidents are investigated and where appropriate, work with the business to implement or adjust controls to reduce the likelihood of further incidents

+ Ensure that all OHS reporting obligations (both internal and external) are complied with

Reporting

+ Oversee the creation of monthly dashboard reporting for the HR Business Partners and Executive Manager P&C Asia

+ Oversee the monitoring and reporting on compliance training completion rates

+ Perform the role as subject matter expert in reporting capabilities of the Workday HRIS
Reward & Recognition

+ Oversee coordination of REA’s recognition program to ensure that all winners are communicated with, appropriately celebrated with, and where appropriate, paid recognition payments in a timely manner

+ Manage Long Service Awards and any other employee related awards

+ Oversee maintenance and application of the REA Global Remuneration Framework

+ Oversee and track timing of payment of various staff incentive payments

Communication

+ With your team, play a lead role in shaping and coordinating all people related content on The Garage intranet platform, ensuring that content is up-to-date, complete and easily accessible to managers

Team leadership

+ Lead and develop the People Services team to ensure that the team has appropriate coverage to meet the responsibilities of the team

+ Work with individuals within the team to help them recognise their career aspirations

+ Manage all cyclical requirements e.g. performance and remuneration reviews appropriately and in a timely manner

**What are we looking for?**

+ A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent Professional Qualification in a business related field.

+ Significant experience within an operational HR environment

+ Extensive experience overseeing inhouse regional payroll processing and partnering with outsourced payroll providers

+ Advanced level MS Excel skills and proficient the remainder of the MS Office suite

+ Experience working with HRIS, Workday would be particularly beneficial

+ Is a champion and agent for change, ensuring all business changes are well considered, carefully planned and effectively implemented

+ Demonstrates project management and change management experience

+ Well versed in Asia Labour Laws to a strong operational level

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Demonstrated experience in influencing and strategically solve problems

+ Consulting, coaching and facilitation skills

+ Effective communication and critical thinking skills

+ Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively

+ Positive mindset, low ego, ‘rolls up their sleeves’, and is highly accountable
