Resident Performing Arts Technical

To provide technical support in the rehearsals and performances of College events, which will be primarily led by the College's Drama and Music Departments. This is likely to include setting up and operating equipment for audio and video recordings, use of lights projectors and sound systems, performing stage management duties, organising staging and co-ordinating seating for performances '¢ To encourage all users to work safely in these areas, ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to and maintain security of these areas if necessary. There is likely to be significant ladder work involved '¢ To assist in the production, filming and sharing of performances throughout the school via online methods '¢ To take on the role of technical manager for all large-scale College productions '¢ To assist/facilitate pupils during practical elements of their academic work where required under the direction of the PATS. This includes guiding individuals or small groups through technical options of the GCSE/IB drama specification '¢ To manage and organise storage areas within the performing arts areas including set/ costume/props/technical equipment/tools etc '¢ To assist in the upkeep of all equipment and complete a stock-take annually '¢ To take responsibility for the timely electrical testing of designated equipment, ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures in Performing Arts and liaise with Estates staff over all other maintenance '¢ To support and develop display work in core departments '¢ To assist in the production of performance related literature (programmes, posters etc) and support the presence of the Performing Arts on the College's Social Media '¢ To be responsible for the recording and maintaining a catalogue (video audio) of College performances and subsequent editing, copying and distribution '¢ To be responsible for filming examination drama performances and the creation of DVDs in a timely manner and storing them in the College's Google Drive '¢ To assist with the construction of sets '¢ To provide technical support for whole College presentations, i.e. open days and assembly work when requested '¢ To ensure the logístical considerations of performances are completed in good time, which includes booking of facilities, equipment and staff and ensure the events operate within the guidance of Risk Assessments '¢ To play an integral part in the planning and delivery of relevant inter house competitions '¢ To commit fully to the Co-Curricular aspect of the College The duties set out in this document are not intended to be exhaustive, and the successful applicant may be required to carry out such other duties as the Master may reasonably require from time to time.Bachelor's or Equivalent
