Job Description
Job Descriptions:
Lead the formulation and implementation of safety and health capability development strategies and plans to ensure availability of competent safety and health personnel to support all projects within the company
Develop and implement a structured learning framework on Occupational Safety and Health
Review safety and health capability and performance gap and recommend learning interventions to ensure progress of capability building throughout the company is inline with thge company safety and health policies and targets
Ensure implementations of the safety and health policies and procedures
Monitor the effectiveness of safety and health policies and procedures and ensure all legal and contractual requirements are fulfilled
Maintain and promote an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and readiness across the organization through campaigning and conducting training programs for staff
Participate in, and where necessary lead, investigation teams, ensuring the development of appropriate corrective and preventive actions and the sharing of best practices across the company
To recommend termination or any parties who compromised the security of materials on site
To recommend to Project Director / Senior Project Director of stop work order for sub-contractors who fail to comply with any major safety requirements
To issue fines to any parties on sire for noncompliance of Safety rules and requirement
Prepare monthly reports and make presentation to the management on safety and health matters
To ensure IMS procedures are implemented on the projects
Ad-hoc tasks assisgned by Project Director / Senior Project Director from time to time
Job Requirements:
Candidate must posses at least Diploma in Safety and Health or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of working experience in the construction building industry and 5 years management experience in the construction building industry
Posses excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Candidate must have valid Greenbook and registered as Safety and Health Officer with DOSH
Familiar with OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967 and its regulations
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia and able to interact with all level of staff / sub-contractors
Candidate able to converse in Mandarin as well as read and write Mandarin will be added advantage
Candidate must able to work according to Site working hour and Site working day
