Safety Officer (Green Book Holder)

**Responsibilities**:- Work Location: Taman Perpaduan Koperasi, Ipoh- 6 working days per week- Contract Basis- Job Responsibilities:- Liaises closely with Client Project Manager and Client EHS Engineers to uphold safety standards in accordance to Client and local government requirements to enable smooth project execution.- Assists Project Manager in ensuring safety to be top priority in all aspects of construction work including building construction/conversion, demolition, tools removal and installation, etc.- Enforce construction Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements. To ensure all the work activities, procedures and process are implemented according to OSH Act, Machinery Act and other local authorities on safety and health matters.- Perform routine site inspections, participate in tool box meeting, Site Suppliers Safety meeting, work permit validation, proactively assessing risk and identifying issues, SIPP and PTP review etc.- Assessing the risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations.- Audit quality of PTP and safety work plan.- Lead incident investigation when needed and develop corrective actions/preventive actions for implementation with the General Contractor.- Assist in implementing EHS initiatives where necessary, recommend alternative safety practices to improve safety and work efficiency.- Perform other EHS related duties as needed.- Creating analytical reports of safety data.- Report weekly inspection findings, audit summary, etc.- Attend site progress meeting with consultants/client.Job Requirements:- Possess DOSH Green Book / Certificate (MUST).- Familiar with Ipoh local law/regulations and local authorities (related to construction field).- Experienced in construction site safety monitoring.- Required languages: English, Bahasa Melayu.- Strong proficiency in spoken and written in English.- Competent in using MS Office- At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.**Benefits**:- EPF- SOCSO- Annual Leave
