Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

Develop strategies and plans to support regional sales ambitions in driving; channel development and expansion, under-penetrated segment development, on-ground brand and product awareness, product awareness, dominant in-store merchandising, to enable strong sales / subscriber acquisition performance and regional revenue growth.

The role includes working closely with HQ to justify and obtain necessary resources, support, and funding to execute the segment programme to expand the young segment (Campus), migrant segment, and underserved segment.
The role will also work closely with the respective Head of Sales to ensure that the regional marketing activities are planned and executed well in a timely fashion, and manage directly the on ground promoters and foot soldiers in order to improve product awareness.

The job also requires the candidate to continuously explore new ideas to drive up the brand/product awareness and on ground sales road show effectiveness. The role will also monitor competition on-ground activities in order to defend our strongholds and attack of new markets.

What are you accountable for?

1) Responsible for developing the channel, segment, and location based marketing plans to support the regional sales ambitions and plans
2) Accountable for planning and organizing of regional on-ground activation activities for all products, including securing of necessary budget, development of business case and measuring the performance against business case targets. Regular updates of the activities are to be shared with regional and HQ stakeholders to ensure constant alignment of plans and objectives.

3) Driving the regional sales on ground activation (SGA) plan to meet below KPIs:-
event efficiencies – event ROI effective internal and partners briefing - timeliness strong internal stakeholder and partner engagement BTL branding and product communication reach and productivity innovation and adoption of digital initiatives
4) Manage the Hotlink Foot Soldier and Promoters to ensure that the teams are well staffed, trained, and deployed in strategic areas/segment with strong customer acquisition performance

5) Monitor branding and merchandising quality and compliance in the regions, for both in store and outdoors, to ensure that Hotlink and Maxis products and branding area dominant in all key market centers. Work closely with Regional Channel Marketing team to tweak marketing collateral development/production to ensure communication effectiveness at the regions.
6) Develop programs and events to attack under-penetrated areas / segments such as youths at campuses/schools, government individuals at key government ministries/buildings, etc

7) Run regular performance reviews and planning sessions with key regional stakeholders to align campaign strategy, performance, rewards, and improvement plans

8) Constantly benchmark best performances in other regions / industries and monitor competition activities as part of the planning process, to ensure that Maxis maintains our branding dominance and in all key market centers
