Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Animator to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Animator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality animations and bringing our characters, creatures, and environments to life. You will work closely with the animation team, art directors, and other departments to ensure the successful execution of projects. Job Responsibilities: Develop high-quality, visually appealing animations for characters, creatures, and environments using industry-standard software and tools. Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and translate them into compelling animations. Create and maintain animation pipelines and workflows, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to project timelines. Mentor and provide guidance to junior animators, sharing industry knowledge, best practices, and techniques to improve the overall quality of the team's work. Participate in the planning and conceptualization phase of projects, providing valuable insights and creative ideas to enhance the visual storytelling. Work closely with technical artists to implement animations into the production pipeline, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Review and provide constructive feedback on animations created by other team members, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to project specifications. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in animation techniques, and emerging technologies, integrating them into the animation process where applicable. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any animation-related issues or challenges that may arise during production. Maintain a high level of artistic and technical proficiency, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Animation, Computer Graphics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in character animation for games, films, or a related industry. Strong proficiency in animation software such as Maya, 3Ds Max, or equivalent. Excellent understanding of principles of animation, timing, and weight. Solid knowledge of character rigging and skinning, and ability to troubleshoot rigging issues. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, MEL, or C#) is a plus. Experience with motion capture systems and data processing. Strong artistic and creative abilities, with a keen eye for detail and visual storytelling. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to mentor and inspire junior team members. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
