CelcomDigi is committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and we aim to continue being a strong sustainability brand towards advancing and inspiring Malaysia. CelcomDigi has committed to set near-term company-wide emission reductions in line with climate science with the SBTi.The Sustainability department is responsible for strategic planning, brand visibility, execution and reporting of CelcomDigiâs Sustainability and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Some of the key responsibilities include Integrated Reporting, Climate Change, Empowerment and Social programmes which is implemented and communicated via social media, digital assets and brand tie-ins with products and services.The team will also work closely with other ESG related functions including, Compliance, Supply Chain, HR, Cybersecurity, Privacy and others to build synergies and competence in material ESG matters.Job SummaryThe Sustainability (Environment) Officer will work with internal and external stakeholder, and suppliers to address the organizationâs approach to environmental responsibility with the goal to decarbonise the companyâs environmental impact and position CelcomDigi as a leading ESG performer in Malaysia.Job ResponsibilitiesBe part of the teamâs climate strategic planner and work with relevant divisions (eg. Technology and Corporate Facilities) to ensure the achievement of climate-related objectives and targets via identifying and addressing environmental sustainability risks, opportunities and solutions.Proposes and implements strategies jointly with internal stakeholders via the CelcomDigi Climate Working Team to achieve the SBTi commitment and address GHG emission reductions including energy use, renewable energy, e-waste recycling, building and facility efficiency initiatives, and general education on environmental sustainability.Establish networking and partnerships with industry, vendors and regulators on policies, solutions and global best practices that address environmental issues.Able to understand greenhouse gas (GHG) emission calculations and climate-related standards and frameworks (e.g., Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TFCD), Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), GHG Protocol, CDP).Work to optimise and implement supply chain sustainability footprint by establishing systems and processes that account for GHG emissions (Scope 3) reductions.Drafts and prepares reports, presentations, and proposals; presents proposals and recommendations to the Management team, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.Performs other related sustainability duties as required and supporting the team.Job RequirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Superlative and creative problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong current knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and regulations.Possessing some technical knowledge of mobile network related technologies is an advantage.Ability to analyze and understand research and to identify relevant and valuable information.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Presentation skills required to deliver proposals to varying groups of individuals.
