Snr. Metallurgist (Based: Setiu/ Marang)

Develop and maintain laboratory management systems in aspect of safety, quality, instruments inventory and maintenance compliance with OSHA (JKKP Negeri Terengganu) requirements and procedures;- Simulating plant operations with Process Plant engineers and to develop process improvement strategies;- Develop and improve quality of High Purity Silica sand within the metallurgical and technical functions;- Establish and conduct ultra-trace and trace element analysis, X-ray fluorescence daily analysis of High Purity Silica Sand and By Products: High Purity Silica Flour, Resin Coated Sand and Frac Sand;- Responsible generate data records of particle sizing, press powders XRF PANalytical (ICP-MS/OES), carbon analyser and relevant details as needed;- Responsible for run test standards to verify accuracy of equipment. Calibrate equipment or contract the calibration of equipment;- Maintain Silica Mineral Processing laboratory records: correspondence, documents, presentations, spreadsheets and databases by manual and computerized;- Collaborate with Chemist Assistants and ensure compliance to all environmental and safety procedures of Laboratory operations;- Represents the Company in correspondence and submission of Silica Mineral Processing laboratory and R&D reports/documents to related State Government Agencies;- To participate in all improvement projects involving product quality and productivity and propose solutions to matters related to the project;- Prepare reports estimates of expenditure, maintain budgetary and inventory controls of Silica Mineral Processing laboratory and R&D;**Requirements**:- Proven experience of minimum of 5 years in Mining industry specifically in silica sand would be added advantage.- Experienced in Product Research & Development or similar roles.- Extensive network within the silica industries and authority bodies- Excellent leadership and communication and people skills- Strong organizational and time- management abilities**Salary**: From RM6,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Dental insurance- Free parking- Health insurance- Maternity leave- Meal provided- Opportunities for promotion- Parental leave- Professional development- Vision insuranceSchedule:- Day shift- On callSupplemental pay types:- Yearly bonus
