To achieve this, we work with companies and other actors to tackle the environmental and social challenges of production practices.Our profound belief in people, their capacity to change and be a force for good and our desire to work where the problems are, to innovate and find practical solutions on the ground is what makes us unique.**About the Role**You will be supporting or leading o the implementation of projects in close collaborations with the Social and Human Rights Manager and participating in cross collaborative projects, stakeholder engagement, trainings, assessments and research.**Your Mission**Being a Social and Human Rights Project Leader you will be focusing on ensuring the rights and wellbeing of workers and their family in supply chains. Specific focus is placed on ethical recruitment of migrant workers, forced and bonded labour and children in plantations.- **Project Cycle Management**:narrative and financial reporting, work plan planning.- ** Proposal writing and business development**.- ** Field and desk based research**: legal and data analysis.- ** Conducting Labour related assessments**:company sites, worker and employer interviews, document reviews and site observations.- **Reporting**:Preparation of reports and supporting development of publications - proof reading, editing and liaising with communications team.- ** Resource and training**: module development, conducting training on human rights, labour rights, child rights and related topics to employers and conducting webinars.- ** Stakeholder mapping and external stakeholder engagement**: leading meetings, presentation preparations, project updates to stakeholders.- **Support other team members**:where needed on ad hoc projects.**Your profile**:Passionate and knowledgeable in migration, labour rights issues or child protection you love working in the business and human rights space to drive transformation across connected supply chains. You are genuinely interested in a career with a dynamic non profit that builds relationships with companies, governments and civil society organisation to bring responsible products to the market. Being an excellent team player with good leadership ability makes you a valuable asset to the team.The following background will enable you to succeed in this role:- In labour or social audits/assessments, development of correction action plans or other field work involving interviews/document reviewed.- Knowledge of human rights, national and international labour law and standards - human resources, child rights, sustainability and/or migration.- Knowledge of RSPO/MSPO, understanding of environmental and social issues in Malaysia specific to Palm Oil industry strong advantage.- Natural public speaker and has experience in conducting trainings.- Strong ability to critically think, analyse with some experience of data analysis.**Other information**- 3 years of professional experience minimum- Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia- Full-time, 2 years contract- Based in Kuala Lumpur- Immediate start- Malaysian citizenship**To Apply**If you are in search of having a meaningful impact, with a desire to innovate and act for the environment, this offer is for you!
