As a Sourcing Specialist you will take ownership for the sourcing and buying process. You will provide support to cross-functional teams on a variety of projects that will require your knowledge and contribution. Using your knowledge of the market and vendors, you will build trusted relationships with suppliers and internal teams.**Responsibilities**- Managing supplier relationships to understand the business, gather market intelligence, assess risk, and ensure compliance to KPIs- Providing guidance to cross-functional teams to support projects, procedures, and processes- Overseeing the sourcing and buying process to ensure products are delivered according to quality, specifications, and budgets- Experience in indirect buying- Managing the purchase operations to ensure purchase orders meet budget, On-Time-Delivery, and productivity targets- Create and follow up on Purchase orders.- Initiate Requests for quote (RFQs), execute Purchase Orders and perform procurement activities within project requirements, budget, schedule, and in accordance with company procedures.- Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.- Solicit and evaluate proposals employing appropriate negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques, using available expertise- Exposure to contract management and setting agreements.- Manage problems and schedule changes.- Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.- Contributes to project as a team member.- Work goals typically take 1-3 month to complete and results are seen immediately or within 1-2 months**Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, supply chain, commerce or relevant field (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5-8 years of experience in Sourcing).- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Procurement/Buying/Contracts.- Preference - Mechanical engineering- Have experience gained in the sourcing, buying, procurement or a role where negotiation played a key part- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with internal customers and suppliers- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new products and business areas- Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solving problems- Show an analytical approach to problem-solving and be motivated and focused on results.- Have some knowledge of General accounting in SAP- Mechanical engineering or having experience in engineering field- Working with international suppliers**Role Details**- Terms of Contract**:Contract 12 months (min 3 months probation)**:- Salary range: Max RM 6000- Work Schedule: Mon-Fri/ 8.30am-5.30pm- Location: Jalan Tun Razak, KL**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per monthSchedule:- Day shift- Monday to FridayApplication Question(s):- Do you accept contract role with 12 months?**Experience**:- buyer/ procurement/ purchasing sourcing: 3 years (required)
