You will be reporting to the Safety & Sustainability Manager - SSE Asia. You will ensure excellence in the delivery of environmental and sustainability advice, guidance, and leadership at a site level.


You will partner with the site manager and site team in environmental compliance, ensuring the site is complying with company and legislative environmental management requirements and supporting the same in implementing and driving the sustainability component of Bradken's Sustainability Strategic Plan.


You will play a key role in supporting the site's response to day-to-day site environment and sustainability matters, you will coach and provide proactive leadership and guidance in the areas of legislative compliance, development, implementation, and monitoring of Bradken environmental and sustainability management systems and procedures, and assist in the identification and implementation of environmental management and sustainability improvement opportunities.


With practical environmental management experience, you will identify and assess environmental risk with an appropriate level of knowledge and application of environmental risk mitigation strategies within a manufacturing environment and be able to play an active role in assessing improvement needs and other sustainable development opportunities.
As a data-driven professional, you will possess strong data analysis, analytical, and strategic thinking skills to support your role in monitoring site environmental and sustainability performance and providing recommendations on initiatives and programs to improve site performance.


You will have strong knowledge of environmental compliance with a passion for sustainability and driving change, who isn't afraid to challenge, lead by example, and communicate effectively to lead the way in our environmental management and sustainability efforts during an exciting phase of growth. Bradken has committed to being carbon neutral by 2030 and we are looking for someone to join our team to support and drive this and our other related goals.


As a Key Technical Criteria: A Degree in Science, Environmental, Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent Experience in an environmental and/or sustainability management role (preferably within a manufacturing environment) Experience and exposure to developing, maintaining, and auditing an Environmental Management System based on ISO14001. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply local and federal environmental regulations Ability to identify and assess environmental risk with an appropriate level of knowledge of environmental risk mitigation strategies Experience rolling out environment and sustainability initiatives, programs, and training in a project and operational setting Certified Environmental Professional Qualifications in any of Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM) and Bag Filter Operation (CePBFO) and Scrubber Operation (CePSO) will also be favourably received.
