Job Description Description The position is for a senior System Engineer with a strong DataBase Administration background.
In this position you will be expected to look after the system infrastructure of our current projects which is based around RHEL, Oracle VMWare. This includes monitoring (using Monit), firewall, network and general system setup & maintenance, implementing external access via ssh or ftp handling security and so on. You will also need to be maintaining our Oracle DB in the role of a Database administrator. This includes optimising the DB configuration, resource management, Query tuning support for developers and so on. The role is a hybrid between a DBAdministrator and system engineer. You will be advising on and directing any system or database work as required. Future projects will be based around the MEAN stack utilising MongoDB and possible Hadoop environments which would be a plus on your resume. You will be advising on any infrastructure work and leading the implementation either directly hands-on or in a leading role.

Requirements
You will be comfortable working on a range of different areas for system setup/planning and maintenance and database planning/maintenance. The immediate requirements are towards Oracle DB administration with a good understanding of enterprise level system maintenance for RHEL, VMWare and related technologies. You will have very good working knowledge in the aforementioned areas and be willing to learn new technologies where required. With the continuous growth of the company you will eventually have the opportunity to lead a team of system engineers, DB administrators and Dev Ops.
