Job Summary: As a Tax Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory tax requirements and assisting in various tax-related tasks within our organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager in the Finance department, your responsibilities will include: Prepare tax computations and tax returns for various companies within the Group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Liaise with external accountants and tax agents to obtain necessary information for statutory tax compliance. Assist in the compliance and implementation of e-Invoice systems to streamline tax processes. Work closely with the Group to prepare and review transfer pricing documentation, including Country-by-Country Reporting, master files, and local files. Collaborate in the preparation and revision of tax provisions for year-end closing, ensuring adherence to accounting standards. Assist in Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) submissions, including the preparation of relevant documentation and forms. Support tax administration tasks such as obtaining tax refunds, managing tax appeals, and responding to tax queries from authorities. Participate in tax audits, transfer pricing audits, and advisory projects, providing necessary assistance and documentation. Stay updated on current local tax legislation and practices to ensure compliance and provide timely advice to the organization. Utilize analytical skills with attention to detail to analyze complex tax issues and propose effective solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions and transactions. Requirements Professional certificate in Accountancy/Taxation or pursuing a professional qualification in a related field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in taxation, preferably in a corporate environment or public accounting firm. ln-depth understanding of current local tax legislations and practices, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively. Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, capable of analyzing complex tax issues and proposing practical solutions. Responsible and able to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications for data analysis and reporting purposes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken, to communicate with internal effectively and external parties.
