Teaching Fellow/Associate Teaching Fellow

LocationSchool of Pre-University and Continuing Education (SPACE)Position Details- Academic, Full Time (Contract)_We are seeking to appoint a teaching focus Teaching Fellow/Associate Teaching Fellow to join the School of Pre-University and Continuing Education (SPACE) on a contract basis.The role holder will be involved in delivering Foundation and Diploma teaching and supervision as well as short courses.**Your new role**- Deliver learning activities face to face, distributed or online as appropriate, which stimulate and foster student learning.- Assess and provide feedback on learning to students.- Proactively engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and contribute significantly to engagement and external community as part of the department's aspiration to engage in meaningful partnership within Curtin and the surrounding communities.**About you**- Minimum, a bachelor degree in Information Technology or a related discipline from a recognised institution.- Demonstrated teaching experience in Diploma and Foundation or to students of the same level/age group and familiar with online teaching tools.- Ability to develop/prepare teaching resources and assessments suitable to diploma and pre-university level.- Established high level teaching skills with a reflective approach to teaching delivery.- An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching.- A strong understanding of pedagogical and contemporary educational practise relevant to the discipline.- A high level of English verbal and written communication.- High level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.- Contribution to an active role in academic service and proven evidence of effective leadership within the department/faculty level as appropriate to the level of appointment.*****Closing Date: Open until filled**Interested applicants are invited to submit a latest resume which includes addressing the selection criteria, a covering letter, names and contact details of at least two referees and certified copies of your academic credentials.How to apply:Staffing Management Section,Human Resource Department,Curtin University Malaysia,CDT 250, 98009 Miri, Sarawak, MalaysiaDisclaimer:Curtin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd reserves the right at its discretion to withdraw from the recruitment process, not to make an appointment, or to appoint by invitation, at any time.
