About the roleAccurately quantify the total m2 of materials required and its associated accessories items for projects. Using AutoCAD and proprietary company software, review client's design drawings and provide accurate estimations. Ensuring all documentation received from a client is comprehensive enough to provide an accurate estimation. Produce accurate lump sum estimations. Advice on possible quantity implications / variations if design changes. Assist Sales & Technical organization in the transition from estimation to design in projects. Assist in the assessment of any possible improvement areas from the commercial aspect of the business. Liaise with local Sales organization to improve the content of information and the process of handover to the client. Provide technical assistance to the local sales, technical and marketing organization. About you Possess a Bachelor's degree in one of the fields of construction / civil / mechanical / engineering / architecture with a minimum 1 year working experience as a drafter/estimator in the building sector. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as this is an entry level position. Diploma holder with many years of working experience can also be considered. Experience in facade construction and working/studying in an international organization setup are an asset. Able to understand and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications. Practical, administratively very accurate and have good organizational skills. Willing to take additional responsibilities and to take the lead where required. Have a strong command of MS Office (Excel-Words-Power Point) and Autodesk AutoCAD. Knowledge of other architectural software e.g. ArchiCAD and Revit is an advantage. Basic command of English language. The candidate must have skills in both written and spoken. Other language skills in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and/or European languages are added advantage. Excellent capacity to plan and organize his/her job and projects and strategies.
