Job Description Provides technical assistance to engineering personnel for sample preparation, & characterizations as required Handle different types of material testing equipments (Thermal/Mech/Electrical/Molding) Record data, charts and graphs of results for presentation to engineers Maintains equipment and/or works with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient and reliable operation Liaising with other laboratories, external departments, and labs to coordinate resources and schedules the work Documents and maintains scientific and engineering tools & equipments Establishing priorities and ensure adherence to schedules Support for lab equipment purchase, EHS document, Warehouse, IE Willingness to work proactively either independently or within the team Able to perform daily machine 6S and maintain 6S compliance in the lab Technician will be working in Normal Shift hours & OT will be provided only if required Qualifications Possess diploma in mechanical/electronics/mechatronics engineering 3-5 years working experience in handling different materials equipments Preferred with basic knowledge on advanced equipment Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety guidelines Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation Able to demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail Good interpersonal and communication skill (fluency in English) Candidate will be working on the following equipment module & techniques: UTM (Tensile, Flexural, Compression, Peel strength) Prospector & bond tester (Shear, Indentation, modulus) TGA, DMA, DynTIM, TPS, Molding (Hot press, Injection Molding) MS office, Origin & other statistical software Training will be provided on all the related equipment & tools Additional Information Because Western Digital thrives on the power of diversity and is committed to an inclusive environment where every individual can thrive through a sense of belonging, respect, and contribution, we are committed to giving every qualified applicant and employee an equal opportunity.
