Treasury Accountant

Job Summary:A treasury Accountant play a critical role in managing the company's cash flow, ensuring accurate financial records, and optimizing liquidity. They are responsible for tracking, maintaining, and overseeing the Treasury function of a business' banking accounts. They need to keep track of multiple accounts associated with the business, and requires making payments due to other partiesResponsibilities:Monitor and manage the company's cash position to meet operational needs.Prepare and execute cash forecasting.Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.Processing foreign currency paymentsEnsure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.Analyze and optimize cash management processes for efficiency.Responsible for daily accounting for treasury activity including daily bank reconciliations and account clearance.Maintain a high level of accuracy and system integrity, escalating any foreseeable issues or opportunities for improvement to management where requiredSupport the month-end process where necessary.Minimum Qualifications:Candidate must possess a Diploma/Degree in Finance, Banking or Accounting field.Proven experience in treasury management or related financial roles.Solid understanding of accounting principlesAbility to work autonomously and as part of the broader team.Appropriate handling of sensitive informationStrong experience with accounting software, SAP would be an advantage.Team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple parties.Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
