**S&P Commodity Insights****The **Role**:Upstream Energy Transition CCUS Analyst (full time)**The Team**:You will be working in the Upstream Transformation team, which is focused on helping upstream stakeholders identify trends for reducing, offsetting and using greenhouse gas emissions from core upstream oil and gas operations, benchmarking their actions, and defining emerging best practice in emissions management for companies and governments. Do you enjoy uncovering details to build compelling stories? Are you interested in CCUS and emissions? We are seeking a highly motivated individual to:- Research emerging energy transition developments affecting upstream oil and gas to support content generation, with a particular focus on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS), as well as upstream emissions- Monitor, collate and edit information to support dataset development, including commercial and subsurface CCUS data- Organize and maintain the datasets in Power BI and a cloud-based data warehouse to facilitate advanced analytics- Identify trends from the collected information and datasets, assist in generating related reports- Collaborate with other analysts to draft research on upstream company strategies to reduce emissions and CCUS developments- Write brief pieces on notable upstream energy transition developments**What We're Looking For**:Key qualifications- Strong demonstrable research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and critical thinking skills- Excellent written communication skills in English- Knowledge of the energy and upstream sectors would be beneficialKey soft skills- Curious and a fast learner who is excited to delve into new areas- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines- Able to collaborate with a range of colleagues globally- Highly organized and with great attention to detail**Flexible Working (optional)**We pride ourselves on our agility and diversity, and we welcome requests to work flexibly.
