JOB PURPOSEReporting to the Digital, Tech and Content department, the Video Editor will work closely with the Content Manager and Content Creators to execute and contribute ideas for video content to be used across various digital platforms. Responsible for the output of video content and assisting the production process to ensure that the content delivered is of the highest possible quality, meeting the brand requirements and in line with the direction of the Digital, Technology and Content Department. This person must be a go-getter that is passionate about creating quality content with a desire to constantly learn and a curiosity to explore the digital landscape for current/upcoming trends. This person needs to understand social media platforms, post-production workflows and technologies but most importantly wants to create work that stands out. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIESExecute all requiredpost-production tasks including video, audio, color correction and gradingPractice quality control of all deliverables while maintaining excellent communication with the production team Pay attention to ensure all content is on brand and meets brand requirementsArchiving RAW and completed projects according to given standardsManage and work across multiple projects to reach assigned deadlinesBrainstorming and pitching video related content solutionsProblem solve and offer creative solutions during post-productionKeep up to date with the ever-shifting social media landscape & digital mediumsMaintain and innovate on processesMaintain the organizations equipment, ensuring that the equipment stays in reliable condition this position is also responsible for researching and suggesting upgrades/purchases when neededAny other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to timeJOB SPECIFICATIONSMINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Broadcasting, Advertising, Film and Television or anything relatedRELATED EXPERIENCEA minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in post-production or a strong creative portfolioCOMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES) Proficient in Adobe Premiere and/with basic knowledge of After EffectsHaving abilities in Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom is a bonusMajor plus points for an understanding in 3D Strong knowledge in storytelling and understanding of the post-production processAbility to execute post-production tasks including video/audio editing, color grading, and basic motion graphicsExcellent project management and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail, and high-quality work ethicMust be able to problem-solve and internalize feedback to incorporate into future projects.Ability to operate under deadline and coordinate multiple projects simultaneouslyCan work both independently and as a collaborative team playerHighly self-motivated and have experience working in a fast paced, team-oriented, collaborative environmentDemonstrate ability to learn and adapt quickly with a strong desire to expand his/her skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive dataMust have a basic understanding of Social Media platformsExperience in photography/videography is a plusCOMPETENCIES (BEHAVIOURAL)Self-motivated & optimisticWillingness and desire to roll up your sleeves and execute while also seeing the broader vision of the companyGood team playerDynamic with initiativeEager to learnAble to work under pressureReceptive to feedback and constructive criticismWilling to work weekends and / or long hours if neededEntrepreneurial spirit and drive with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
