To assist the Assistant Executive Housekeeper in the daily operational and administrative duties of the Housekeeping/Laundry Department.**Position Summary**:- Assumes responsibilities of Assistant Executive Housekeeper in her /his absence.- To assist in job training, counseling and direct all Housekeeping team members accordingly.- Oversee special projects / program assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or the Assistant Exec Housekeeper ensuring work is carried out accordingly.- Supervises and carry out the procedures and policies established with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Laundry, Engineering, Human Resource, Security, Linen room, Florist and Gardener for the smooth running of the daily operations.- Assist with the handling of guest's complaints and requests promptly and efficiently.- Inspects all VIP arrival rooms, front of house, all function rooms, meeting rooms, back of house for cleanliness and also to determine the need for shampooing, spring cleaning, Matrix and make recommendations / planning for Quality Audit.- Carry out daily room audit on out of order rooms, VIPs in house and long stay guest rooms.- Inspect all back of the house / front of the house public restrooms, function rooms, team members changing rooms, offices, etc.- Supervise and provide feedback on team members performances ensuring all actions are taken with reference to standard and procedures.- Revises daily work schedule depending on occupancy and last minute event.- Conduct briefings and relay information to team members when necessary and take appropriate action.- Recommends rooms to be put out of order and when to release. Alert on occupancy /manning- Delegates, distributes and describe instructions and follow up items issued to floor and public area.- Conduct regular check on pantries, service areas and equipment used by team members in all housekeeping areas.- Represent as an active team player with a "hands on" approach.- Focus on section expenses, monthly rolling and P & L**Other Considerations**- Screens applicant, train new team members and recommends disciplinary action or dismissal.- Recommend and prepare new purchases.- To assist with room projects.- Prepares vacation list.- Investigate complaints and takes corrective measures.- Determines discards of linens, drapes, etc- Help to foster a more harmonious environment for the Housekeeping by bringing herself/himself closer and getting more involved in their team member's activities.- From time to time to assist in other additional duties as assigned by Executive Housekeeper/ Asst Executive Housekeeper.**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month**Benefits**:- Health insuranceSchedule:- Afternoon shift- Day shift- Early shift- Evening shift- Holidays- Rotational shiftSupplemental pay types:- Performance bonusCOVID-19 considerations:All our team member are fully vaccinated and required to wear mask at all times.
