As a member of the leadership team and reporting directly into the General Manager, the commercial lead will have over-arching responsibility for the successful launch of a global priority brand into the Malaysian market.This recently created role is of critical strategic importance to GSK Malaysia business and will see you taking lead in shaping, developing, and executing the "go to market" strategy for this significant and strategically important segment. The Business Unit Manager will lead sales and marketing functions and is accountable for team development and capability building. Your responsibilities will be broad and will include:P&L accountability - Establish market sales and resource forecasts and recommend organizational structure to attain the business opportunity. A&P Budget management.Lead the LOC/region/global matrix launch team in the refinement of the core brand strategy for ensuring successful pre-launch outcomes and preparing for a world class launch. Assesses capabilities and suggests capability development needs for the team and recommends capability development activities. Developing and implementing a robust, innovative, and multichannel product launch and marketing plan that will differentiate the relevant brand(s), drive adoption and rapid uptake of adult vaccination.Develop understanding of the adult vaccines market including the competitor landscape and details relating to the national immunization program processes and structures.Conduct local launch readiness reviews to prioritize / resolve issues, identify critical path activities and dependencies, and allocate resources.Identify E2E vaccination journey for adults in private, institution and public sectors. Put together plan to accelerate access & vaccination rates across the different channels.Develop an impactful 360 disease awareness strategy to help drive consumer awareness of relevant vaccine preventable disease(s) and impact on health and quality of life.Initiate relevant market research projects to support the strategic brand planning process and gain understanding how to develop adult vaccine market.Partner with regulatory, medical, compliance and legal through the development, localization and approval phases to ensure all materials are held to the highest standards.Leads cross functional collaboration / project teams with local, regional, and global teams.Role-models cross-functional collaboration within LOC (eg with medical, market access, government affairs) and contribution as a team member with LT.Establish strong and optimal relationships with external bodies (Payors, Patient Associations, and KOLs, Medical societies, etc…) as relevant.Provide robust and accurate sales forecasting (based on market insights and inputs) Contribute to a culture of "One Team", driving organizational continuity and alignment with Global brand team strategies and enable the team to work in a rapid-paced and agile way. Educate and excite internal stakeholders about healthy aging value and opportunity.Act in full compliance with GSK policies and ways of working, values and expectations.Qualifications:We are looking for an experienced marketer with strategic agility and demonstrated influencing skills as this role involves a wide range of internal and external stakeholder management in a complex matrix environment. In addition to this you will have:People management experience is a must; Combined sales/marketing experience is advantageous.Experience developing and implementing marketing plans for new product launches incorporating a full MCM strategy.Experience in engaging / collaborating with key entities ie. MOH, Payers, pharmacy chains, medical societies, etc.Experience with major consumer disease awareness campaigns is Advantageous.Strong levels of commercial and financial acumen and experience in a complex, matrix environment.Hands-on with the ability to shape and build a business.Strong leadership qualities with the ability to create a culture of collaboration and teamwork that fosters open communication, constructive conflict and organizational flexibility.Experience in Stakeholder Management at Regional/Global level is advantageous.Entrepreneurial and innovative of spirit.Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity and paradoxes.
