The Commercial Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the bidirectional relationships between The Company and its chosen Suppliers. The Commercial Product manager will ensure that not only do we have healthy supplier relationships, but that these are unpinned by a well-developed, implementable and measured business strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include commercial planning, communication and commercial review of the portfolio of brands under their control.Key duties include:- Developing and implementing sales strategies to meet business goals, aligned with The Group strategy.- Building and managing relationships with key suppliers, clients, and partners.- Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers.- Monitor market trends and analyse competitor activity to identify opportunities.- Own the P&L for the portfolio of Division / brand/s that you are responsible for, including gross, operating and profit margins.- Forecasting sales and revenue, and developing budgets to support business growth.- Monitoring and managing expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.- Range review and management of both current and future product lines. Included is a P&L at the line-item level, where we determine the viability/market acceptance for each of the lines.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, marketing, product development, and operations, to drive product growth and market penetration.- Providing leadership and guidance to sales and business development teams.- Provide product training (Master Trainer), and ensure that marketing and brand collateral is available to drive the business forward.- Prepare and advise the sales and operating teams on incoming products, launches, sales and marketing campaigns, and product issues/failures.- Ensure the timely delivery of products to meet customer needs, by advising and directing the inventory teams.- Stay up to date on industry developments and regulations to ensure compliance.**Requirements for this role include**:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or sales.- Several years of experience in business development, brand, or key account management in the FMCG industry.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision-makers.- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.- Ability to analyse data and market trends to identify new sales opportunities.- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.- Ability to work independently.**Salary**: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Cell phone reimbursement- Maternity leave- Opportunities for promotion- Professional developmentSchedule:- Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:- Commission pay- Performance bonus**Experience**:- FMCG: 4 years (required)- Retail sales: 4 years (required)- Modern Trade and General Trade: 4 years (required)Application Deadline: 09/15/2023Expected Start Date: 10/02/2023
