Job SummaryResponsible for fabric specification. To determine type of fabric for fabrication and quantity of swatches to be fabricated.MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Using electric knife and scissors to execute the cutting of material- Spread fabric on table in single or multiple layers- Positions pattern over fabric to ensure fabric design is on swatch area and traces outline of pattern- Removes pattern and cuts along outline, using scissors, electric knife, to form swatchKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)- Experience in fabric material cutting- Experience in reading sample list to determine specific fabric and patternENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)Works on the production/assembly floor.
