Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's commitment to safety, health, and environmental compliance. This position requires a strong background in EHS management, including a Safety and Health Officer Certification. Knowledge and experience in Environmental Quality Act (EQA) will be considered a significant advantage. Regulatory Compliance: Implement measures to ensure the company operates within the legal frameworks of DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, etc. Liaise with regulatory bodies such as DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and other relevant government agencies during visits and audits. Review and approve critical documents such as Incident Reports, SOPs, Minutes of Meetings, Corrective Action (CA) programs, and Risk Assessments. Develop and implement environmental programs aimed at minimizing the organization's environmental impact. Conduct audits for SW Waste Receivers and Transporters, ensuring compliance with DOE requirements. Equip with knowledge of LOTO, PIT and WAH Prepare comprehensive reports on EHS performance and key metrics. Collaborate closely with various departments on EHS-related issues. Take charge of EHS budgeting, including the development and management of budget and resource allocations. Prepare and propose compliances for new factories based on EHS-related requirements. In general Health and safety carry out range of functions in a bid to ensure the safety of both employers and employees within a particular work environment Monitors employees and employer's adherence to safety policies and/or guidelines Organizes accident investigation processes Carry out development of safety policies for organizations To identify machine risk and hazard by complying machine guarding such as safety interlock and machine sense Keeps record of all safety-related issues within the organization and makes sure that corrective measures are taken Organizes routine training on health and safety matters for the staff of the organization To work with cross functional team to drive safety programs and culture across site through influence and convincing abilities Job requirement: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or Engineering field. 5 to 7 years of cumulative experience in Environment, Safety & Health section for manufacturing and construction industry. Green Book holder and registered with DOSH. Proven experience in EHS management and regulations Strong knowledge of local and federal safety and environmental regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Possess valid driving license and willing to travel
