Laboratory Technician

1.0 To maintain and ensure cleanliness of the laboratory. 2.0 To practice good laboratory practices and take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace. 3.0 To ensure that the chemicals are properly stored in the appropriate storage area(s). 4.0 To ensure that the chemicals, prepared reagents/solutions are properly labeled, tidily and properly organised for ease of finding. 5.0 To prepare reagents/solutions required for the analysis. 6.0 To ensure that the laboratory equipment is properly maintained and in good condition. 7.0 To ensure that all equipment log record is up to date. 8.0 To monitor and perform maintenance/calibration/verification on the laboratory equipments (whichever required) as per the laboratory maintenance schedule. 9.0 To ensure that the samples properly and securely stored at the appropriate condition pending testing. 10.0 Involve in testing of the samples as per the respective product analytical procedure and report. 11.0 To complete and compile all test reports performed. 12.0 Involve and/or assist the Senior Chemist in validation testings related to the product.N/ASTPM / A Level or Equivalent
