Essential Responsibilities 1. Operational • EHS shall be of prime importance for the conceptualisation of the process for the method statement.
• To prepare project specific method statement taking in to account of site conditions and safety norms.
• To prepare project specific detailed method statements for each assembly and installation activities in line with best safe practices of work.
• To prepare project specific method statements for handling of materials including lifting methods, transportation and unloading etc.
• To prepare project specific site testing methods in line with testing procedures and engineering guidelines.
• To prepare project specific commissioning methods in line with commissioning procedures.
• To list out project specific working platforms both movable and fixed type as per the methods and safe working practices.
• Ensure and follow up for availability of all working platforms for site erection works.
• To prepare site control sheets and protocols as per project specific method statement, Field quality work plan and per Contract requirement.
• To participate in design reviews for the erection activities and incorporate the additional needs in method statements as per the requirement/outcome of the review meeting.
• To co-ordinate with SI Expert and Lead Supervisor and take their concern in making site project specific method statements in line with engineering and safety requirements.
• To participate in reviewing and consolidating site erection documents and archiving.
• To review and validate method statements furnished by erection contractor and turnkey vendors.
• Provide feedback to engineering for consideration and incorporating safety requirements during design.
2. Managerial (Budget / Administration / People)
• Ensure best usage of movable working platforms optimising the budget.
• Ensure methods established are user friendly and easy to implant, Understand and safest to Operate.
• Ensure good co-ordination between site staff, HO team and vendors.
• Ensure availability of methods to site team well in advance.
3. Functional/transverse (optional)
• Provide structure feedback with experiences and lessons learned.
Specific Functional/Technical authority (besides DoA):
• Access to all procedures, erection methodology, documentation and information of projects.
• Access to engineering drawings and documents.
Role Summary/Purpose
To define the roles and responsibilities of C&C Methods Engineer to give erection methods, handling methods controlling methods, testing methods applicable for installation activities as per the field quality work plan and contract document requirement.
Qualifications/Requirements
Mandatory:
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Technical Degree
• Familiar with MS word & MS Excel. Desirable:
• University degree in technical education
• AutoCAD.
