(Malaysia) Purchasing Executive

Responsibilities / Introduction Optimize purchase to reduce overall purchasing cost.Manage material purchase to ensure no shortage of parts or overstock.Regularly following up on parts shortages as reported by production and or store and liaise with vendor (s) to ensure timely delivery of parts.Manage tax exemption status of parts and promptly apply tax exemption for new parts.Engage shipping forwarder for delivery arrangement.Collaborate with Procurement and Quality in data collection to determine selected approved vendor’s performance for review for improvements. Issue Supplier Defect Notification (SDN) if part (s) found rejected & liaise with vendor (s) on part (s) replacement.Maintain 5S.Any other adhoc assignment according to business needs (example, assisting Procurement in sourcing activity). Requirement Skills / Qualifications / Attributes : Diploma / degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.Min. of 2~3 years in purchasing. Computer literate (Good in data computation using Excel, Powerpoint, WordsPossess strong negotiation and analytical skills.Possess good interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, positive attitude, self-motivated.Team-oriented with high integrity and sensitive to cost factor.
