This position will involve supervising the daily activities of the supply chain team, which includes materials planning, logistics, customer support, spare part orders, and warehousing.**What You Need to Be Successful**- Develop and implement strategic plans for materials management, considering factors such as demand forecasts, production schedules and inventory targets- Collaborate with production, procurement and logistics to align materials planning with overall business objectives- Analyze historical data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts for materials- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand upcoming promotions, product launches or changes in customer demand- Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory- Monitor and analyze inventory turnover, ageing and other relevant metrics to identify areas for improvement- Collaborate with procurement and logistic to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of materials- Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate the risks- Utilize data analysis tools and software to generate reports and insights on materials planning performance- Present KPIs and metrics and informed decision making- Continuously evaluate and improve materials planning processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy and responsiveness- Implement best practices and new technologies or methods to streamline operations- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of materials planners- Mentor and train junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledgeJob Reference: CGS11546
