At BASF, careers develop from opportunities.**Do you want to work with passionate teams, providing excellent business and digital services to the Asia Pacific region?****Do you want an open, supportive, and caring working environment?****Do you view your development needs seriously as we do?****If YES, then take your career to the #NextLevel with BASF !****Objectives of the Position**- As a full member of the Global Performance and Formulation Additives (GEDJ) Team, this position will work very closely with the Global Strategic Marketing team, to drive marketing communications and market intelligence and strategy for the business unit.- Given this position will be based in our Kuala Lumpur Hub and will report to the Head of Communications Services in the Hub, while supporting the Global Performance and Formulation Additives business dedicatedly, it is expected that the incumbent will utilize the unique position to bring in new ideas, learnings, and views, from the hub team to the GEDJ team, to foster cross collaboration and best practice sharing.- The Global Performance and Formulation Additives business unit focuses on serving customers in the paints and coatings, such as architectural, industrial, automotive and printing and packaging, as well as adhesives, construction and composites industries. It produces and markets a wide range of performance (light stabilizers and antioxidants) and formulation additives (dispersing agents, defoamers, rheology modifiers, wetting agents & surface modifiers, film forming agents) all over the globe.- The Global Strategic Marketing team drives the key strategic aspects of the business such as capital investments / divestments, global research & development projects, industry and key customer strategies. The teams also steer the innovation process, competitor and market analysis, definition of launch packages, digitalization as well as internal and external customer promotions.**Main Tasks*****Launch Excellence**- Lead/support global launch excellence project across the regions and ensure its implementation- Lead/drive preparation of launch materials, including: branding concepts, unique value proposition definition, marketing communication campaign**Market Intelligence & Strategy**- Identify industry specific trends, market needs and long-term opportunities field on a global scale; and develop marketing position of the SBU in conjunction with Technical Marketing teams- Provide global market, customer, and competitors' marketing insight, monitor changes in market dynamics, and define counter measures**Digitalization**- Lead digitalization initiatives such as web tools, website development, sales tool development- Drive digital marketing initiatives (online market places, product recommenders,..)- Oversee management and track performance of online channels including websites, intranet and social media channels- Produce and manage digital content including videos for internal and external use**Marketing Communications**- Develop & implement Additives communication strategy- Develop and implement integrated marketing communications tactical plan including product launches, product advertising, customer events, industry target group events, promotions, fairs and exhibitions, trade press releases, online activities, social media- Lead the development of global marketing materials for Additives launches, training, catalogue and one pagers- Liaise with Global, Regional Communications, Regional Corporate Communications and Country Corporate Communications to coordinate and align all communications related matters internally; and externally manage agencies when needed- Write news releases and support lead in reviewing news releases from the region, as requested- Publish and distribute news releases internally and externally- Handle proactive and reactive media opportunities in terms of messaging and content, while working with the Global Marketing Team**Requirements**:- Master's degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Sales, Business Management or equivalent experience- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, Marketing Communications, New Business Development experience- Able to guide and lead global marketing strategies through influence, in alignment with regional counter-parts- Creative, self-motivated, with strong conceptual abilities and project management skills- Excellent communications and negotiation skills with verbal and written English**BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre was established in 2005.
