Mechanical Design Engineer

Engage in an in-depth analysis of the product requirements and collaborate with the customer's Engineer to resolve matters related to Product requirements.ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate for New Product Introduction (NPI) from initial stage of First Article (FA) to qualification of fabrication part.Define and create project process routing and Bill of Material (BOM) for new product.Perform study on customer engineering drawing, understand customer specification and requirements on the new product.Plan, monitor and follow up the progress of new product introduction timeline.Design sustainable machining process on each new product/ First Article.Design and implement jig & fixture for process control on new / existing project.Work closely with the production team to ensure proper hand over of First Article to mass production build. Coordinate with respective department on continual improvement activities.QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 3 year(s) of working experience from Machining or Precision Engineering industry.Able to interpret engineering drawing and bill of materials. Knowledgeable in concept design for Jig/ Fixture to aid machining processes.Strong problem solving skill, team player and highly committed with high sense of urgency.Computer literate and possess good knowledge in SAP system.Strongly analytical skill, highly proactive and committed with high sense of urgency.Highly motivated, independent and teamwork oriented.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good presentation skillsAbility to work in a team environment, extremely well-organized and able to consistently meet stringent deadlines while working with minimal supervision and sometimes minimal information.
