As a Pricing Manager, you will lead contract processing, analysis, reporting and assist in developing pricing strategies for all products. You will also work cross functionally to optimize contract implementation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Local expert on pricing procedures, laws and regulations to ensure compliance to these rules.
- Drive product pricing analysis and recommendation by analyzing competitive products and pricing, ensuring alignment with brand value proposition, understanding customer groups (patients and physicians) and collaborating cross functionally.
- Supervise environment and practice for shifts in trends or behaviors, interpret likely impact and suggest appropriate actions.
- Develop deep understanding of market conditions that affect pricing for individual brands and overall industry. Effectively formulate and utilize market research data.
- Evaluate changing marketplace and proactively makes recommendations on pricing strategies as related to managed care, reimbursement environment, federal and state regulations.
- Obtain relevant competitive information on pricing and contracts that is essential in making the assessment in continuous improvement.
- Provide modelling of pricing recommendations and financial impacts for new and existing products.
- Serve as a resource for licensing and business development in assessing price for potential opportunities.
- Responsible to ensure that all AZ pricing systems are up to date and maintained promptly.
Essential Requirements
- You have a Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Marketing, Science, Economics or Finance) or preferably with a post graduate degree from a top university.
- Previous role in brand management or market research within pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid understanding of pricing strategy and managed care impact.
- You have experience operating in global business environment.
