Production Manager - Car Assembly Plant (Pegoh, Melaka) Production, Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Production Manager.
As the Production Manager, you will be playing a critical role on the Production team. You will lead a dynamic team of Associates and Leads while driving metrics in critical areas of the Manufacturing floor.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally with our manufacturing and operations teams, interfacing with Auto Technicians, Engineering, Procurement and Logistics to ensure production goals are achieved.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Build a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high quality products against production targets. Collaborate with management and engineering to improve product manufacturability and line productivity. Develop & maintain Standardized Manufacturing Instructions used in production and assembly departments. Develop training programs for assembly and production team members. Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking. Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station or team area. Responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including correcting workplace hazards in the areas, safety compliance and proper organization and housekeeping. Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent. At least 15 years of working experience. Strong leadership skills and communication skills. Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, productivity) Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and required deadlines. Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills; able to interface with executives and leaders on a daily basis. Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail Fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent written and verbal communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (Must, to deal with China Counterparts) .
