A quality assurance executive is responsible for ensuring that the units produced or manufactured comply with an established quality standard. Specific duties of a quality assurance executive are: looking into the production process, finding out erroneous ways or methods being used, minutely observing the units produced for visible defects, performing various tests on the units produced to check for its durability and other desired characteristics, noting down observations gathered, accepting or rejecting lots of units on the basis of samples checked, contributing in implementing quality control programs, giving inputs in preparing training manuals and quality guidelines, and performing other tasks assigned by the manufacturing engineer. A quality assurance executive typically reports to a manufacturing engineer.
