Maker Lab's cross-functional teams of multidisciplinary specialists are embedded into client teams across digital marketing competencies — from measurement & analytics to content production.**Revenue Accountant**As a Maker Lab Revenues Accountant, you'll be working closely with our Finance and Business Operations teams to maintain accurate and compliant revenue recognition processes. You will collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity and contribute to the company's financial reporting.You're a great communicator, meticulous, results-driven, motivated and entrepreneurial with a 'hands-on' attitude and a strong sense of urgency.Role:- Collaborate closely with Finance, Business, and Operations teams to comprehensively assess revenue streams, ensuring precise recording and reporting.- Analyse and track costs & revenues related to services for all key sales orders, and ensure accurate cost control and profit margin reporting.- Conduct periodic revenue reconciliations, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.- Prepare and maintain documentation supporting revenue recognition policies and practices, ensuring adherence to internal and external audit requirements.- Assist in ensuring the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual cost & revenue reporting and analysis.- Monitor and oversee accrued and deferred revenues, ensuring precise alignment of revenue recognition to the fulfilment of performance obligations.- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans by providing accurate revenue data and insights.- Contribute to process enhancements, automation initiatives, and Operations finance system upgrades to streamline revenue accounting procedures.- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations concerning revenue recognition, implementing best practices to ensure compliance.You:- 5+ years of relevant experience and/or wide experience in an operations finance role for a services business. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or CA/CPA qualified an advantage.- Experience working in an audit/accounting firm, and or marketing / creative agency/tech experience preferred.- Familiar with management and finance tools, such as Xero, Microsoft Dynamics, G-Suite, Microsoft 365.- Must have advanced excel capability; comfortable with corporate data analysis.- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and discrepancies.- Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentation skills and - ideally - fluent in another Asian language to cover projects across APAC.
