Position Summary
As a "Senior III IT, Test Automation " you define, plan, implement and oversee test automation activities in alignment with business requirements and technical specifications. Using your previous experience and provided training, you build, maintain and manage relations with Business Partners as well as identify Business Partner requirements concerning the quality-related aspects of application and service development, consult and propose solutions and are accountable for their delivery. You assure that implementing improvements are with a view to increasing cost and resource efficiency and optimization of existing services and project processes. You are expected to continuously maintain and develop your knowledge within the technical domain, as well as the knowledge of your colleagues..
Years of relevant working experience
Minimum 8 years of professional experience with test automation and at least 2 year of experience in managing a team of testers or a project team
Academic Requirement
Master's degree or equivalent work experience in computer sciences, Software Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent work experience.
Key competencies
Driving system testing activities for business area / project / program
Planning and executing test automation strategy
Leads, manages and guides testing specialists (internal and external)
Provides guidance on testing and documentation to project managers, IT project teams, and database administrators)
Working closely with 3rd party contractors.
Key responsibilities
Provide technology leadership for test automation capability
Define, implement and recommend test automation strategy including roadmap, tools, framework & approach across project teams
Oversee technological execution of the recommended automation solution across project teams
Mandatory skills
Extensive experience with test automation tools (tools like UFT, Web driver)
Excellent programming skills in any one of the following (like Java, Python, VB)
Extensive experience REST,SOAP UI for Web Services (tools like SoapUI, POSTMAN, REST-assured)
Excellent Back End Testing experience by writing and executing SQL Queries
Strong Knowledge on XML and JSON Validation for mocking up the data for Third party system application
Hands on experience in Leading and Mentoring Automation and Manual Testers
Knowledge of testing and SDLC activities
Good understanding of contemporary QA/test principles, methodologies, and techniques in regards to testing needs
Good knowledge of testing tools (e.g. JIRA, ALM)
Strong problem solving, project planning, systems analysis, teamwork, and organizational skills
Openness to work on projects with different times zone
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate highly technical content in simple terms to the business users.
