Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: - Responsible for the deployment and operational management of project construction / installation managers and subsequently assist said managers in the deployment of project engineering resource (field/operations engineers)
- Promote a vision for development of the team - provide mentoring and guidance, identify career trajectories and implement succession plans accordingly;
- Use experience and expertise to support the Marine Tendering team in the generation of innovative, optimized techno-commercial solutions in the pursuit of new word
- Oversee the translation of aforementioned solutions into robust offshore execution plans and schedules that can be delivered with certainty during project execution;
- Develop (in conjunction with Global Marine) consistent procedures, processes and methodologies and deploy across the project teams to ensure delivery of marine scopes safely, on-time and within budget
- Review and approve critical documentation prepared within the projects' marine teams
- Attend and steer key project review sessions (Constructabilities, HAZIDs, Readiness Reviews etc
- Interact closely with McDermott's other PED functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, Fabrication, Project Management & Controls) in support of delivery assurance
- Participate in the resolution of critical issues that may arise during offshore execution;
- As part of the continuous improvement process ensure performance and lessons learned from past projects are integrated into the planning for future projects;
- Interface with the global Marine Assets team with regards to vessels, equipment and upgradee
- Assist the APAC Marine Operations Director in the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives around methodologies, assets and technologies
- Represent McDermott at client meetings, industry events, seminars etc. as a recognized authority for Marine Operations;
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the APAC Marine Operations Director, including acting as deputy from time to time;
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 20 years of comprehensive marine assets and operations experience, including shallow and deep water, conventional and SURF;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - comfortable to liaise confidently with multiple levels within the organization;
- Progressive and adaptive whilst being culturally sensitive;
- Experienced in the management of people and teams and excited by the prospect of working in a multi-national, multi-cultural team environment;
- Keen to live and work in South East Asia - and open to the future prospect of short and long term international assignments;
