Job Purpose (Brief summary of the position, i.e. why the position exists) Responsible to manage and monitor the overall production schedules, production lines and manufacturing processes to ensure that the products are produced in an efficient manner in order to achieve the targeted productivity & quality as well as departmental key performance indicators and objectives. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (Describes the core areas in which the job must obtain results in order to achieve its job purpose) Plans, directs and monitors the production processes, analyses failures & breakdowns, scheduling of manpower to ensure smooth operations of the production lines in order to achieve the targeted productivity & quality product output level within the set timeframe. Plans, manages and oversee the process equipment changes/replacements in the plant with maintenance & electrical department teams including annual, planned or unscheduled shutdowns. Develops plant start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time. Lead in the process study and improvement projects as assigned by the Superior. Responsible for recipe management of the production lines. Manages efforts to standardize work & ensures approved procedures & instructions are adhered and practiced. Creates and revises standards and procedures by analyzing production activities, record keeping system, forms to increase production efficiency and other related activities. Motivate and lead production employees in the department to achieve optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead cost to meet departmental annual budgetary plan by motivating, facilitating teamwork within production department and facilitate related training for process improvement. Ensures compliance to Health, Safety & Environment for safe working environment which include requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 and HACCP. Prepares monthly production report for Division Head to make the appropriate production & financial decisions. Analyses the monthly output for different businesses and actively participate in preparing the line capacity Participate as a committee member of identified programs as and when necessary. a) To lead and coordinate monthly and annual stock take of production storage area ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & HACCP Internal Auditor. b) Key user for SAP PP/MM Module c) Safety Committee Member Qualifications (Minimum Qualification Required For The Position) Engineering from established higher learning institution. Excellent academic results and active in co-curriculum activities (University – Sports / Association) Experience (Minimum Number Of Years And Type Of Experience Required For The Position) Minimum 5 -7 years' experience working in production/manufacturing chemical process plant environment preferably in chemical industry. Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & HACCP. Experience with SAP would be added advantage. Candidate with lesser experience but high performing with excellent process track record and achievement, will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
