Supervisor - Production

Job Description Supervise and oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. Assign tasks and responsibilities to production floor staff, coordinate workflow, and monitor progress to meet production targets and deadlines Train, mentor, and develop production floor staff to ensure efficient and skilled workforce. Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials to avoid shortages. Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of equipment and machinery, promptly addressing any breakdowns or malfunctions. Enforce health and safety regulations and protocols to create a safe work environment and minimize accidents or hazards. Prepare and submit reports on production performance, bottlenecks, and areas of improvement to the management team. Job Requirements Previous experience in a supervisory role in a furniture manufacturing or production environment is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, including cutting, assembly, finishing, and quality control is an added advantage. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to train and mentor production floor staff to ensure efficient and high-quality work. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address production issues and troubleshoot equipment problems. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols on the production floor. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production targets within set timelines and budgets. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on maintaining product quality and meeting customer expectations. Flexibility to adapt to changing production schedules and requirements.
