Technician post has two major responsibilities: customer service and repairing support. Not only do they have superior technical skill and experience, they also have impeccable communication skills, divining customer issues, translating to actionable items and resolving Technical issues in the least amount of time possible. Techs work at both the Front Counter Bench and the backend Tech Bench. They act as mentors to junior staff and pass on the tradition of fast troubleshooting and curiosity for best practices.Principal Duties (Technican):- Delights customer with knowledge, integrity and commitment to an excellent service experience- Performs software, data retrieval and hardware repairs on Mac computers and iDevices- Contributes to the entire Service department through the flexibility to multitasking where needed and the knowledge of the procedures of many roles- Stays current on technology and procedures- Resolves issues requiring SPS or TSPS chats, CS codes, parts ordering and customer outreach for their and other's queues- Completes warranty and out of warranty repairs according to Apple and Service standards of excellence- Understands Apple Customer Satisfaction and Service Excellence metrics and how repair strategies affect them.Accountabilities (Technician):- Manages the customer's experience to ensure they are well satisfied with the service provided.- Completes tasks consistently that contribute positively to Apple metrics- Maintains a high degree of quality while successfully completing repairs on or ahead of time- Keeps all required certifications current.
