We advocate for five main literacy areas, which are STEAM education, financial literacy, media and information literacy, social and emotional learning, and global citizenship education. In our mission to empower today's problem solvers, we have student and teacher programmes nationwide and throughout the year. This role will be to train students and teachers on social and emotional learnings. Main Responsibilities:Develop high-quality session content based on program outline: Plan, curate, develop and improve training materials to ensure information is highly relevant, accessible and adaptable. Develop simple, neat and insightful presentation slides and other training materials.Update and improve content materials based on the context of the training. Practice high-quality session delivery: Plan, curate, develop, and deliver social and emotional learning experiential training for students and teachers with constant reflections and immediate improvements.Conduct, feedback and improve teaching strategies from event to event.Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure necessary resources are in place.Conduct effective briefings for students to prepare students for upcoming events or competitions.Engage local communities which include but are not limited to parents, teachers, school leaders, neighbouring shop owners, customers and industry players. Handle programme post-event stakeholder engagement to ensure satisfactory experience from pre-, post and during the event.Nurture critical thinking skills among teachers: Build relationships, teach, motivate, and inspire students to think critically so that they can use social and emotional learning to improve their lives.Model growth mindsets and instil 21st-century skills in students.Give probing questions that enable students to think critically.Communicate and nurture design thinking skills in students.Supporting Role:Practice high-quality programme logistics support: Organize and coordinate the logistical details of programme events or initiatives, including planning and arranging transportation, accommodations, and event spaces.Plan and coordinate logistics for programme events or initiatives, including managing budgets and expenses.Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure necessary resources are in place.Handle registration and enrollment processes and coordinate with vendors or service providers to secure necessary supplies or services.Handle programme post-event logistics and stakeholder engagement to ensure satisfactory experience from pre, post and during the event.Key Measures of Success:Continuous pedagogy improvement.Satisfaction level from multiple stakeholder engagements.Satisfaction level of beneficiaries through Net Promoter Score via feedback form. Utilisation of event space.Timeliness of inventory record.Documentary of stakeholder management. Innovation in project approaches.Key Results:All programmes organised and content created received 30% and above Net Promoter Score.At least one new partnership is formed through organising various events.All inventory is well recorded and kept pre, during and post events.Expected skills:Teach and motivateAble to make meaningful connections with students and empower them to excel.Able to give, reflect, and receive feedback with an open heart. Organisational skills and attention to detailAble to coordinate human and in-kind resources to optimise operational efficiency.Strong communication skills, both written and oralAble to write letters and emails, follow up and follow through stakeholders through messages and phone calls.Cultural competency and sensitivityAble to understand, make and execute inclusive plans for cultural diversity. Ability to build and maintain relationshipsAble to provide prompt responses and communicate compassionately and clearly.Excellent interpersonal skillsAble to connect to and model Arus' REACH values (Respect, Efficient, Adventurous, Collaborative, Honesty).Resource & financial managementAble to optimise programme delivery under budget.Proficiency with computer programs and technologiesAble to solve or seek technological solutions based on needs. Ability to work independently and as part of a teamAble to manage own time, manage expectations and deliver based on deadlines.Requirements:Have extensive experience being a trainer. Have experience dealing with multiple stakeholders is a bonus.Have experience working with design thinking. Bonus if have experience teaching social and emotional learning. Proficient in Google products such as Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Classroom, Google Sites, Google Docs. Plus points for Canva skills.Must be able to commit to working from the Kuala Lumpur office and travel independently between multiple work sites if needed.Must be able to commit to outstation work if needed - costs for outstation work to be borne by Arus.Must be keen to learn while doing.Proficient in verbal and written English & Bahasa Melayu. Having educational experience is highly desirable but not required.
