Position: Accounts Assistant.Salary: RM 1500-1800.Location: City centre, Kuala Lumpur. Our client is a group of reputable companies involved in diverse businesses,providing well known brands in general insurance,financial services and information technologies. Their corporate head office is located at Kuala Lumpur city center. Currently they are seeking to recruite a junior accounting qualified candidate for their Finance Department.Job scope & responsibilitiesThis is a permanent position where you will be reporting to Senior Accounts Executive within the accounting team.As Accounts Assistant, you will be involved in the daily operations and activities of the Accounting Department, which will include processing of invoices,Purchase orders,Delivery orders and monthly payments.Duties:-Close and prepare full set of monthly accounts and financial statements.-Manage full cycle cycle of payment process.-Carry out bank and/other reconciliations. -Process journal entries and issue payment vouchers.-Process claims debits/credit notes and various technical statement of accounts for submission.-Maintain proper filing and accounting records.The Candidate-Candidate must possess minimum LCCI or Diploma in Accounting.-Knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.-Similar experience in accounting role within insurance business would be preferred. -Two years of relevant work experience in managing Accounting functions.-Experience working within the insurance/financial services industry.-Proficient with ability to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.-Familiar and proficient in Accounting system and MS Word and Excel.
