Mighty Buildings is a venture-backed construction technology company based in Oakland, CA and Monterrey (Mexico)We are disrupting the construction industry by creating beautiful, sustainable, and high-quality homes using 3D printing, advanced materials, and robotics automation.We are looking for an experienced Global Supply Manager (GSM) to build a world-class supply chain network for our exciting 3D printing construction business. You will work closely with teams from Architect, Design, Product, Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing to optimize the user experience, quality, cost, and timely delivery of our exciting products. You will lead the development of sourcing strategies and establish a solid partnership with our strategic suppliers, a critical piece to enable Mighty Buildings' vision for more sustainable and affordable construction. Bottom line, you will be responsible for ensuring our supply chain partners meet demand, delivery schedule, specifications, and quality standards at the lowest possible cost to Mighty Buildings.**Position Responsibilities**:- Develop category sourcing strategy ensuring suppliers are capable of meeting Mighty Buildings' current and future technical and business requirements.- Benchmark the industry to monitor technology trends and ensure best practices are incorporated to enable Mighty Buildings' business and mitigate risks.- Establish supplier selection criteria, evaluate alternative suppliers, manage Request-For-Information (RFI), Request-For-Quote process (RFQ), and drive final supplier selection in partnership with Cross-Functional Teams at Mighty Buildings.- Proactively provide manufacturing and cost input to inform and enable product design, architecture, and feature set decisions.- Coordinate and lead Bottoms-Up-Costing exercises at component, module, and system levels to enable product design, architecture, and feature set decisions.- Negotiate key agreements with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms.- Lead Total Cost Reduction program to ensure the lowest possible total cost, including part, capacity, inventory, transportation, and yield costs.- Develop contingency plans to de-risk technical challenges, long lead time, single source, and any other potential supply chain risks.- Execute programs to optimize schedule flexibility while minimizing excess & obsolete inventory exposure.- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and external partners to meet the overall program schedule, sustainability goals, certifications, and performance requirements.- Travel in the Contiguous US and global as needed to support product launches.**Minimum Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with established industry experience.- Proven project management, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills.- Robust quantitative and analytical skills including command of Microsoft ExcelExperience, Google Docs, Numbers, etc.- Ability to work on high-pressure project schedules.- Ability to work with ambiguity, adapt to changes and bring clarity to the team.- Ability to work independently and with mínimal guidance to execute on agreed-upon project deliverables.- Excellent oral and written communication skills.**Preferred Qualifications**:- MBA or Master of Engineering- 7 or more years of total professional work experience including 5 or more years of supply chain management experience, preferably in Construction, Consumer Electronics, or similar industries.- Other commodity sourcing experience is a plus, such as construction materials, chemicals, photovoltaic, battery backup systems, home appliances, etc.
